Chelsea news and transfers recap: Done deal, Cucurella to Man Utd, Darwin Nunez link, Lukaku loan

Chelsea picked up their first win under Mauricio Pochettino as they romped to a 3-0 victory over Luton Town at Stamford Bridge last night.

Two goals from Raheem Sterling and an assist for the winger to set up Nicolas Jackson’s first goal for the Blues capped off an excellent performance that saw them dominate possession and move up to 8th in the standings. Serbian goalkeeper Dorde Petrovic is on the verge of joining Chelsea and eagle-eyed fans might’ve spotted him in the stands at Stamford Bridge for last night’s 3-0 win over Luton Town.

The 23-year-old has reportedly travelled to London to sort his medical ahead of his move from MLS side New England Revolution but football.london understands he actually went into the Blues dressing room after the victory to meet and celebrate with his future teammates.

Elsewhere, reports continue to suggest that Romelu Lukaku may well find a way to leave Chelsea in this transfer window after Roma representatives landed in London last night in order to try and negotiate a deal.

Other links have placed Chelsea in the hunt for attackers like Ivan Toney and Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez but no solid links have formed just yet.

So, with that being said, stay with us at football.london as we keep you up to date on everything Chelsea-related on the transfer front…
